Every once in a while I'll visit a thread and this will happen:

user posted image

It comes up immediately after the page I want loads. Just a blank page, loading forever, "transferring data from tinypic" forever. When I hit the back button I go back to the page I intended to go to in the first place.

It's like as if there's something redirecting me. But it doesn't happen all the time. Anyone have any idea?

Clear your cache (in tools -> clear recent history) and see if it ever happens again

Yeah, I think this has happened to me too lately. I didn't examine it too closely at the time, though; I assumed it was some minor server issue that would go away in a day or so. I should have checked more.

Hasn't happened to me since I've reported this. Weird. Didn't even clear out my cache.

Wish I had looked closely at the page source when it happened.

when I press back it go's back to the page I want. but the blank page has the same url... odd

could it be phishing?

* particular sites it happens on for me are imageshack and the mfgg fourms.

If you take a look at my screen capture, it's like it adds this cluster of characters at the beginning of the url, but that url doesn't show up in the address bar. Just the back button list.

After typing in "wyciwyg:" in my address bar, I got a whole bunch of gmail and google pages that apparently I've visited before.

Just found that and posted it in the wrong thread.

Is this just something to do with the new Firefox?

yeah, looks like it. I guess it loads the cached stuff when MFGG doesn't load or something like that.
