i understand that it isn't forcing you to use it, but you gotta remember i'm an oldschooler.
i grew up in a time when video games were not as highly glamourized. in an age where mom's were still trying to get kids to play outside and away from the "idiot box". i spent my chuldhood playing levels over and over until i got it right or found the code to beat it. frustrating nights with sweaty palms trying to make that one second jump to get the secret or stuck in a long battle against some super boss.
i'm one of those gamers that believes that "casual gameing" is ruining the industry.
that all my years of solitude and button mashing to call myself a "gamer" and here comes little jonny public who can just let the level do it for him and he's a "gamer" too.
it's just another sign of a disturbing trend in gaming to take all the difficulty out of it.
this has been a bigger problem for some time.
