Well the nightly build has the file replacement code on, while the official one doesn't. (PAL region, dunno if it's different for the NTSC codesets)

Then don't use it. You can leave the handicap at 0.

Well, basically, every character is modified so that they play better, and all those changes are being made up by a group of members on smashboards. Think stuff like gravity changes, increased hitboxes, frame speed modifications, etc.

It also increases the "hitstun" quite a bit.

Hitstun is the action state your character enters after being hit by your opponent. During this state, you cannot perform any action other than DI and teching. By adding more hitstun, Brawl+ encourages short combos and strings and requires players to have a greater focus on proper DI to escape most combos.

(DI = Directional Influence, which is basically tapping your thumbstick and c-stick in a specific way in order to change the way you're being sent flying)

And a few other little tweaks.

It also includes some cosmetic codes, such as colored shields and custom textures. (You can PM me if you want to know how)

And that should be it.
