if you really want to, I don't think it'd be too crazy. I mean the first handful of episodes are more or less stuff that should have been in the first season and didn't carry over and you'll get an idea of what's going on through them, especially the first episode of after story

but yeah first season is probably not going to be liked that much by people who don't like high school anime stuff, since it's pretty much the epitome of it

The first season gets you to know the characters. I don't think you be as attached to the characters if you skipped the first. And that would leave the second season less emotional.
