well i have a new thing i'm going to rip my hair out over maybe

test app

when run, it should look pixel-for-pixel like the below image:

(seriously, stick that reference image and a screenshot of the gray rectangle area into photoshop or gimp or whatever and run a difference filter on it if you have to; the result should be solid black with no other colors whatsoever)

however the problem for me is that the red and green lines do not appear; the red line is actually a set of points, but for me they draw one pixel higher than they should. on the other hand, the green line is a real line, but draws one pixel to the left (but this apparently only affects vertical lines—horizontal ones are fine)

rii seems to have the same problem with the red line but i don't think he's seen the vertical line one yet

lovely there's rounding inconsistencies

i also just found out that quads draw a pixel lower which i hadn't noticed before -- scratch that that one was my fault

son of a ***** why don't i just ditch ortho mode

well i can deal with line and point inconsistencies if i use them in a way where they don't matter so much

at least quads draw fine; hopefully that won't change when i start rotating them
