Spam is a pretty broad term.

Though I still must admit I always found it a bit laughable that a forum that started with a spam forum expects to eradicate spam entirely. Good luck with that.

Honestly if you feel that way then you should just leave the community while you can because you're obviously not happy here, same goes for everyone else.

If you can't handle it without being absolutely asinine and pissy all the time, pardon the language, then you need to give it up too. Such an attitude will not help anything. It'll get worse and you'll just end up banning more members for trivial stuff than necessary and just cause more of the "whining" you're whining about.


There's a difference between being strict and being ridiculous.

It's clear to me that at least a few of the staff at MFGG actually care about the member base, and these folks don't want a witch hunt that will just result in banning more people.

I said it earlier, the way you are going about this is all wrong. The mods and admins think that all of the folks against them in threads like this are just thick-headed and "childish", but that is because all of them (the mods/admins) have the same/similar thought processes and ideas on what is good and bad when it comes to posts. That's why folks are appointed to staff positions, right?

Getting huffy and posting threads in the News forum just banging your head against the desk, saying the same thing over and over and over and over ("Why can't they understand?!?!?!") is not going to get ANYone ANYwhere. No, I don't have a "solution" to your problem, but you guys should have your Forum 12 thinktank brew up something that's NOT dictatorial but could yield positive results for all parties. (Going on with that, don't most successful compromises include both parties in the active talks?)

Yes, I've gone out from the original post's idea onto a much larger issue, one that won't get fixed by tacking on more rules and banning more people. This is a serious issue that will just widen the rift between the "evil" moderators and the "childish" members.

Then why don't you rejoin the mod team? Show us all how to deal with waking up to 30 reports in our inboxes or members yelling at us over AIM for breathing funny. We could sure use someone on the team who has had that kind of experience and far more.

And for the record, I'm not being sarcastic. I mean that with all sincerity.

Honestly I think Zash n Ryo's ban was more just making an example out of somebody than actually being warranted. Reaction Image spam has been going on for quite a long time, it's quite odd to be banning over it all of a sudden. But ehh!

Well if you don't crack down on something people will keep on pushing the envelope further and further and further and see how far they can get it until someone gets banned eventually

Then people start screaming "BUT HE DID IT TOO LIKE TWO WEEKS AGO BIAS BIAS BIAS" and then we get topics like this telling everyone to shut up which only makes them yell louder
