Whipped up a random title screen if the other one doesn't grab you =P I thought a 3D one would be more fitting for obvious reasons.

Shader 3.0 is an insane requirement. Half the people here doesn't even have 2.0

OpenGL doesn't require shader 3.0

are you using shader 3.0 for the shadows 'n **** because that can be done with shader 1.2 (though it looks awful, but it still functions)

I'd rather have a playable game without shadows than nothing at all =P

I'm planning on using nice Water effects and such, thus I need to set the requirements pretty high :/
Everyone will upgrade eventually so it's a matter of time before this will be outdated :P

water effects are possible entirely without the use of shaders!

I think you need to think about the casuals and common people who doesn't have the extraordinary hardware that you're saying this will require.
Even commercial games hardly have higher requirements than 2.0

Yeah, But still there's nothing I can do without having to swich to another renderer and I haven't written the renderer :P

Anyway, Here's a link to the movement test, tell me if it works!
Mario3D Movement Test
You need OpenAL also, here's a link: OpenAL

It requires your graphicscard to have Shader Model 3.0, OpenGL 2.1 support and GLSL 1.20.

Controls (Joypad prefered):
WASD > Movement
Arrow Keys > Camera Movement
Space > Jump
Ctrl > Punch (Couldn't find any good animation for it, but you can punch Physics objects.)

If you have a joypad or joystick connected you can't use your keyboard.

This is a very simple test, and I'll rewrite alot of the code now so next time it'll be alot better wink.gif

Later!

It works on my system, but I had to install openAL on my system first to get past an error.

the "shader model" thing is dx-specific iirc

opengl has its own shader versions

This is awesome! Just a few graphical glitches on the models, and if you fall off ( I still can't believe I fell off) and you try to reset your position... yeah.

Just tried it, and it lags HORRIBLY! Like, only a few frames per second, and it uses only 50% of my CPU! >:( I sense bad programmers in our midst.

Oh, and the sound doesn't work. wink.gif
