i accept your challenge, general.

The Gameboy had plenty of capacity, G/S/C were only 2 megabytes if I recall correctly.

Other games like Cannon Fodder (Complete with FMV and PCM based music) and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (The smoothest damn animation I've seen on an 8-bit console, it also uses a ton of rastering) were 4 megabytes, more then enough room to fit Kanto 6 times over.

then i must be remembering something wrong because they could hardly fit RBY onto the cart and had to reuse cries just to barely have enough space

So Platinum on my flashcart apparently can't connect to Wi-Fi.

They restrained RBY to 1mb space, I guess it would have been significantly more expensive to go bigger in the mid-90's (Remember, Jap got it in like, 1995).

I'm trying to "beat the clock" at completing the Pokedex (>1 new entry per hour, or 492 pokes in 492 hours), and I'm cutting it a little close right now. If anyone could help me with the following, that'd be freaking awesome:

Chikorita
Cyndaquil
Raikou
Suicune
Ho-oh
Celebi
Latios

Obviously, I'll want to keep Chikorita and Cyndaquil, but the rest can be tradeback'd. Also if anyone wants to trade-evove their:

Damn, that's actually a really big challenge. I can't really help much, sadly. I got Entei and Totodile instead of the other starter/beast in the current games that you could.

actually only about 100 hours out of the just over 400 I have now were actually spent on the dex. Another hundred went into building my awesome team and the BT, and the Underground claimed the remaining 200

more or less

I'd never be able to pull it off if I hadn't spent a few hours creating an itemthief Linoone and chaining Chanseys to get Lucky Eggs, though :x
