Hehe... Anyone remember
this?I haven't been on this site for a good three years now, but I'm back, and so is my favorite self-created fangame, Bubble Baby. For those who don't know (I'm guessing most of you), Bubble Baby is a game in which you guide Baby Mario through levels using ONLY the mouse. And I mean ONLY the mouse. For example, in the first level, you'll explore a mushroom-plagued forest, grab a powerup called the Fire Watermelon, torch some Koopas and wooden boxes using said caustic melon, find and carry a golden key, and then swing the locked door open--all while keeping just one hand on the mouse. If it sounds too simple, that's because it is: in comparison to the original, which forced players into arthritis with its constant-clicking mechanic, this revamped Bubble Baby only requires you to click if you're doing something; by which I mean Baby Mario now follows the mouse pointer automatically, leaving the left and right mouse buttons delegated only to the grabbing and using of items, respectively. You also no longer have to "feed" Baby Mario his powerups; you control them directly with the mouse. Hold the right mouse button while holding the Fire Watermelon, and a stream of flames will follow your pointer, engulfing all who dare enter its path. The Ice Watermelon works similarly; freeze your enemies into blocks with one click. Who knows what else might be in store? Now that I've managed to get a smooth and workable engine, the sky's really the limit for Bubble Baby.
Take a look at some of the screens comparing old (left) and new (right):

As you can see, the new version looks a good deal more polished.
But if you REALLY want to see how much better this is,
download the demo here.Happy fangaming! ; )
