No, it didn't. I told you 9001 times why I started my feud with you. It wasn't because you critiqued my art. It was because I entrusted you with a really deep secret and you and your BF thought it was funny to tell everyone that you both knew.

I was (and still am) fairly capable of handling critique. But I can get "butthurt" and "angry" when people start making fun of my art.

In mid 2007, I created my own art topic on the Penny Arcade forums. I asked for honest opinions and I didn't write anything like "im 17 plz be nice ok". A large number of responses were negative; if I can recall, one member told me that I lacked a distinct light source and another member told me that I had potential and I am far from reaching it. However, their responses were long, informative, and helpful. I kindly responded to the comments (even the negative responses) with my thanks.

In late 2008, I created my own art topic on the Sketch Tavern forums. Like last time, I asked for honest opinions and I didn't write anything like "im 19 ok im not an art major so be nice". The responses were more positive than the Penny Arcade's, but a few responses were still negative. I was fairly happy that I received negative responses (since I know I'm not that great) and I kindly thanked the critics for being helpful.

I wish I could show you the topic but the Sketch Tavern forums are down (and are not coming back up).

However:

In late 2008, I created my own art topic on the VGcats forums. I did the same thing like I did in the forums above. All of the responses were positive. I started to post there less frequently than before because I found the responses to be useless and because of the local forum trolls.

On May, I posted my first etna picture there, kindly asking for critiques since I knew it wasn't my best. The responses were overwhelmingly negative. My friend Eric, who is a huge fan of etna and goes to the VGcats forums as "Rama", didn't even like it. Normally I would listen to the negative responses, hoping for constructive advice that I could adhere to. However, all of the criticism was useless, mostly consisting of stuff like "i didn't know etna was jamacian", "god her face is disgusting" and "also her abs"; it was clear that they were making fun of the piece. I got upset and I wrote calmly that the forum members were simply incapable of giving good critique and that it was best to forget that it existed. It was after my response that a few forum members started giving helpful critique and I later thanked them for helping me improve the picture.

i'm suddenly reminded of when i had to deal and talk with both my cook and my other server because they were in a constant feud that all started with the fact that the server accidentally put too much cheese on the breadsticks, which could have been relieved fine if the cook didn't yell and the server would have taken it into consideration

i don't feel like reading the topic so if i'm repeating someone then too bad

favorites mean jack **** for at least 3 reasons:

1. they're highly dependent on fanbases; any sort of x*** will favorite any decent x picture regardless of whether it's good or not
2. popularity = guaranteed faves ie people who give you a blowjob 24/7 will probably favorite ANYTHING you post even if it sucks
3. friends = faves, pretty much no exception; the more friends and "friends" you have, the more favorites you'll get just because they're probably suckups. i'd say real friends would only favorite your good art

really the only favorites that matter are from people who've never seen your art before and preferably actually leave a good ****ing comment which is generally too much to ask from da

take any hugely popular submission and probably only 1% or so of the favorites could really be considered legit
