It was revealed that this will be available on Steam, though you can't pre-order it yet. However if you do wish to pre-order, and take a picture of yourself doing so you can score free loot now:

You are a weird guy, Borderlands is a shooter - Fallout 3 is Oblivion (i.e. an RPG) - aside from the setting the games have nothing in common - art style, gameplay, characters, story are all completely different.

GUNS - LOTS OF GUNS Group: Members Posts: 5396 Member No.: 455 Joined: 2-June 04 Status: (0d)	Yeah I mean that's really the point: Fallout 3 was VATS, it was auto-target/auto-aim/percentage based accuracy - whatever you want to call it these were gameplay elements firmly based in an RPG background. Not that there is anything wrong with that - but it's just naive and kind of illustrates you never looked at this game if you go "heh Fallout 3 again". Fallout 3 is more like, trash loot and an overarching story that keeps you involved. Borderlands is more about all your loot being insane weapons to make you do even crazier ****, against tons of enemies in a CO-OP environment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CwOUJ7Xn9U - Some gameplay from Borderlands This is a more visceral game - it's for fans of the FPS that want to have that Diablo-esque loot collection to go with it. --------------------

Also if you live in the Dallas area, two of the local Gamestops will be doing the usual midnight launches, but with a twist.
