Remember how Fallout 3 LIED about having randomized weapons?

Not making a point or anything, that just REALLY annoyed me.

There's a bit of that no matter where you go unfortunately, the PR and marketing guys are really never actual devs - in our case in particular the game changed so many times that some of the promises we made back in the day were actually true it's just they've long since changed.

In regards to weapons however that is not the case. Obviously 14.5+ million weapons is the product of like six different weapon 'parts', stats, colors, damage types - etc. But it's deep enough that everyone seems really pleased by the varied weapon selection, and I think that's the best we could hope for.

A lot of people have told me "hey man I got Borderlands! Oh don't get excited I didn't buy it cause you worked on it!" Which is also good because that means this thing has legs. We're still #1 on Steam, #2 (behind MW2) on 360 games... can't wait to hear first sales reports.

Again if anyone needs the achievement "And They'll Tell Two Friends" - I'll hop on the 360 to make sure you get it, if you're PS3 I'll hook you up with another developer's name.

Buying it today, probably in a few hours.

Also, Nightwheel, what position did you fill for this game? As in I'd like to know a little bit more beyond the "I was a Dev" I've picked up from reading all your posts in this topic.

Just curious, because it's really cool that someone here worked on a big game like this.

Nightwing though man, Night-wing, I am not a wheel sad.gif

For those of you that are interested I did put an easter egg in the game. There are some envelopes scattered around the world that have some unintelligible print on them. This actually says N s W (my initials), followed by "555 Willow Ln" (Willow was Borderlands code name), in "Pandora" which is of course the planet you're on.

So the stamp in the corner is the interesting part, it's actually QR code that some oldbie MFGGers will recognize, the Team Ho-Oh cry "HOOoOo OOhhhhh" preceded by my name. For anyone with a QR code reader in their phone it should pull right up.

I'll be playing the PC version as well starting this afternoon for anyone that needs a buddy, you can add me "DarkNightwing" on Steam, "NightStartMugen" on the 360 - where you can get your radical dev achievement "And They'll Tell Two Friends"

EDIT: Piracy protection is SecuROM that's about it, we are aware people pirated it - it's to be assumed sad.gif
