Is curses real?

We saw a dirty ass tennis ball and I kicked it. It rolled down the street away from us. We laugh and went home. The next day we walked at the same place and the dirty tennis ball was back at the same place. So my friend kicked it the next time. And we went home. The next day the dirty tennis ball was at our school. And from that day on we saw the tennis ball every day of our life. But after awhile it disappeared.. around the middle of 10th grade. And then it came back at Summer school today and I see it everyday... So, am I cursed by the evil tennis ball? --------------------
