I think this might be the game I read about in OXM. runs to get copy of OXM ^_^ Yep, it is. The creative director heavily cites Super Metroid as a source of influence, which can't really be a bad thing, can it? :)

Hell no. Super Metroid and really any of the side scrolling Metroids are fantastic games.

I agree entirely; the exploration involved in those games is bar-none. Hell, forget the exploration, the games are great no matter which way you slice it.

Anyway, Donald Mustard--the creative director I mentioned before--says the gameplay style is "all about exploration, punctuated by intense combat."

Hell yeah, man.
