this was a brilliant plan to make me wanna leave more!

I'm very sad to hear this is happening, but at the same time I suppose it's for the best. I'd love to be able to bring some stats over if that's possible? I'd hate to lose six years of "hard work".

I mean if we're hacking the damn thing, it surely shouldn't be that hard. Maybe something that's offered for the first week or so...?

There may be new badges available if you've contributed to the main site.

Did you read this topic or just come in assuming things?

Post counts are reset for obvious reasons but some badges are still going to be ported over. You'll most likely still keep your secret santa and competition badges that you have.

Well, I guess it's all for the better.

TO my knowledge it's easier to do badges now and most mods or something can do it but we probably will end up hiring a badge mod anyway to catch it all.

Presumably the "it's an entirely new forum and everyone will have to reregister new accounts" reason.

That's not really a reason as to why we have to get rid of them all.

My idea:

Reset all posts and joindates, then, when you've rejoined, pm admins/mods/whoever if you want to get your post count & join date manually synced (spelling?) with your old one. Agree?

EDIT: Also I wanna keep my SHH

EDIT2: Will the interface change, and if so, is it by much?

I highly doubt the admins are going to want to sift through hundreds of PM's just to give people a post count that doesn't REALLY matter all that much. It's your posts that matter, not how many you can make in a day.
