Something along the lines of a more frantic iceclimbers.

Don't hae a title yet, but the basic idea is to climb up higher and higher in one of many differen't area's trying to avoid acidic water/lava/whatever that is slowly rising.
As you progress the levels, the water will get faster, so you have time to warm up at the beginning of a level.
eft and right keys will move your cute lil' robot, holding shift with activate your thrusters to push you upwards for a very brief time ( The fuel will charge slowly only whn you are on the ground ), up jumps, and down makes you go one platform lower.

Along the way, you'll collect many metal scraps and pieces that can be used to upgrade your speed/friction/ect.

Anyways, text is for squares, screenshots plz

This is what it currently looks like. Like the graphics? Joeinky made them all, and also did a bit of programming :3... And uh, ignore the tiling glitch there.

And this is what we're hoping for it to look like once the build is done.

So far, the game has:

Variable Jumping
A basic particle System
A dynamic camera ( Still being tweaked, but it does... Strange things, like tilting when you are dangerously close to the water, zooming out as you get farther from the lava, ect )
Movement ( Still tweaking the physics a bit, gravity and friction needs to feel more metal )
And uh, that.

Anyways, always open to questions and suggestions. I'll probrably post a demo with the key features later once I get the engine running without many glitches.

Thanks :3

If anybody wants to take up level design, you can post a picture/text picture up here. I'm bad at level design myself :<
Solid items ( S? )
Elevator ( Thats the end level indicator. E? )
Robot ( Starting point. Uh... SP? )
Hydraulics ( Pushes you off stage. H? )
Magnets ( Sucks you upwards. M? )
Magnet Lines ( How far the magnet goes. MN? )
Spikes ( Drills upwards and pushes you back. S? )

After a long office meeting with myself, I have decided to post an update.

Thrusters are out for normal+hard mode. Easy mode will have them, but will not have a greatly enhanced effect. The thrusters honestly made alot of parts in the level to easy. Along with this, the HUD is reduced to only showing how many nuts you have collected on that stage, which makes it look much better and less cluttered.

Achievments will be awared for doing various things. For instance, collecting all the nuts in a level will give you the achievment "Let go of my nuts!" and will unlock a differen't graphic for all the nuts in the future levels ( They'll literally be nuts. ) you can change this from the achievments page, where you can also see what achievments you have and have not yet unlocked.

The camera has been changed to make a much more playable display. Since the levels are only 400 pixels wide ( And the first level so far is 1.2k pixels high ), the camera has been adjusted to be 400 pixels wide.

No screenshots for now, since I have not added anything that you can really "see" but i'm hoping to get out a quick engine demo later for bug fixes.
