Hey, man, I got nothing wrong with other people playing Yu-Gi-Oh.

I just personally don't have the hundreds of dollars it takes to play it well, nor the tolerance for the attitudes that seem to accompany many of the players. Also, the card-ratios in the booster packs and the sheer low number of cards in them (compared to the price) is enough to make any college student that's not rolling in dough a little hesitant.

Oh, and the fact that they constantly have to ban cards or make cards to trump old cards because they don't play-test cards before they release them? If I'm going to buy into a TCG, I want at least some effort to go into it. I can't be stocking up on Monster Reborns only to know next season they're planning to ban it. Again.

The game is fun, the mechanics aren't bad; it's just its too expensive, too broken, and too full of mean people for me to really get into it. Also I find most of the monsters to be kinda dull, myself.

It was a nice little phase for me when I was your age, though, I suppose.

you know maybe i like when a game changes every few months

adds variety, ya know

what do yugioh tournaments of the highest caliber hand out anyways

lightsworns are the only deck that costs over 80 dollars or so to build once you have all the staple cards, and many decks cost under 50 to build.

why would you stock up on them when its been at 1 for ages and if its ever in a period of unbanning it's readily available for about a dollar

...actually doesn't the pokemon tcg cycle through sets, making you have to buy a ton of new cards whenever they say "you can't use these anymore"? you'd think that'd be pricier than buying a few new cards to replace stuff in your deck that got limited/banned which you can now make money off of by selling them.

wasn't this only done once DP was introduced
