Amateur golfers don't play golf as a "hobby". They play it as a sport. (Professsional golfers play it as a career.)

Sports are altogether separate from hobbies, as there are far more reasons to do sports than simply to occupy time.

Yes, since they're sports, and not hobbies.

Mistaking sports for hobbies is just ignorant. If we clash on such an elementary viewpoint, there's nothing to be gained from further arguing.

Stacking cups. It's called sport-stacking, if I recall.

Stacking goddamned cups is a sport. It makes me sick to think of it.

I'd like to know why competitive games with varying styles such as trading card games are not sports, when stacking cups is, especially since there is one way and only one way to stack the cups.

It's repulsive.

Cup-stacking is considered a sport. Do you know why? Because it's a friendly competition.

That is the very definition of a sport. Anything that is played competitively, particularly when it is officially organized, is a sport.

This includes trading card games.
