I'm currently doing the sprites for my upcoming game, CWE BattleZone. I've ripped a bunch of sprites of The Rock from WWF Warzone on Game Boy (note: thanks to Turdlantic for the idea) and I've been editing them to make them look like the wrestlers featured in the game. Right now, the plan is to have only five selectable wrestlers. Why? Because the sprite editing process is taking forever, and because programming the game is going to be a major pain in the ass with just five wrestlers, let alone more.
However, I'm concerned that five is a very small number of characters to choose from, so that's why I need your opinions. Should I stick with the five characters as planned (which will allow me to focus on other important aspects such as getting in some badass match types, gameplay, and some other little things that I want to keep a secret

), or should I try to get in as many wrestlers as possibly, even if it comes at the expense of the gameplay or general game design?
(Also, feel free to ask any questions regarding CWE BattleZone, related to this topic or not).
