And also, L should get a special item called the Life Note, which allows them to revive one person and one person only, at the cost of killing the person who uses it

Basically, if L dies, Near can use it to revive L, at the cost of killing Near

What kind of choice is that? Being somewhat safe from Kira having hardly any way of killing anyone, or being able to kill people once anonymous while being unsafe from Kira?

Retro, here is one from a person who actually played as L, along with assuming the rules stay the same as this game, listing them as rules when they are really just guidelines from my experience:

Rule 1. NEVER give out your name.

Rule 2. ALWAYS give your badge to Watari or Near.

Rule 3. Make sure that ALL plans go out to Watari, Near, and Mello. Tell them to confirm all plans with Watari as to not cause the confusion of Game 4's Mello.

Rule 4. L's Detective's should be treated as expendable for L's sake if you choose aggressive, meanwhile they should be given second priority over Near and Mello for any items Watari receives if playing defensive.

Rule 5. Near is your number two priority to keep alive while playing defensive, do not allow him to snoop nearly as much as the other chosen detective's, you are number one.

Rule 6. Use the anonymous message feature everyday with cryptic messages towards an innocent player and not to tell the public who to vote for, instead have your team members vote for your target with Watari doing so last. You of course can vote in there if your team's numbers are low.

Rule 7. Play defensive. A gun will not give you an advantage when someone randomly scans your name. (DIRECT RELATION TO GAME 4's L DEATH)

Mostly what I meant.

And now that I think of it, you should never let anyone know who L is but Watari - even Near or Mello. Always have Watari recruit people. Defense is better than offense.

And as I said, give the civilians the bullets, antidotes, silencers, etc. and let the main three find them. Hell, make an item for poison and give Yotsuba empty darts.

He should have more bullets and ****.


I was thinking maybe on the first day you can't use abilities, to encourage getting to know the crowd instead of Kira/Thief just going 'hmm, I'll randomly use my ability on him'.
