The MFGG Football Team lost Thursday night 37-13. We fought hard, but we were overmatched by a deeper and more experienced team in a difficult away game. MFGG played well in the first half, leading at times, with solid leadership from Marigi and several big plays from JetSetRaïn, including a 3-yard touchdown reception on a fade route.
Things went downhill in the second half, however, as the opponents' two-back tandem wore down the MFGG defense, which still has a few weaknesses. The deciding moment occurred late in the third quarter, when Marigi was sacked in the end zone for a safety. This pushed the score to 30-13, and from there the opponents ran out the clock with a couple of long drives.
MFGG now has a record of 1-2. While this loss was kind of tough, the team is still improving. What's more, next week's game is at home against one of the league's worst teams. There are still many starting positions open for new players, including fullback, offensive line, defensive line, linebacker, and punter.

Hooray! MFGG defeated the Houston Enrons 20-10 yesterday in a pretty easy win. We led the entire game and faced little difficulty from this weak (and badly-named) opponent.
Our rushing game, led by Nyafall, kept Marigi from ever having to get too busy. Marigi did score a touchdown on a quarterback sneak, however, and VinnyVideo intercepted a pass (really). Our offensive line held up a bit better against the Enrons' weak pash rush, but we got called for too many false start and similar penalties.
The MFGG football team now has a record of 2-2, which is just one game out of first place in the division. Next week's opponent looks to be a bit more challenging, however. Most of the main positions have been filled, but we still need offensive linemen, and a middle linebacker, strong safety, and fullback would also help.
