I decided to start a series even though its my first game. Oh well, who cares XD
Anyway, SMBO series is a platform game which you will defeat popular enemies well all know and love.

First one is ; Shadow Mario's revenge. In fact, later, I'll edit this post later, with the game information, which sounds alot better.

Most of my friends say the game is pretty good for a first timer. The bosses were of course made with timelines, which were easy. And I don't know code, whoever, there is alittle code in there. The demo, if accepted which features 10 levels, 2 of them which are boss fights, wil be up soon. That sceenie probaly sucks, but simply experiencing the game yourself will create a judgement. There "engine" used is mine combine with many ideas and elements from others. However, I created (it was hard at first) all of the enemies and they work fine. I still hate the use of masks but it was the only way I could get some enemies to work and of course turn arround when the object reverse direction. Blah blah blah yadda yadd...

and that's my first demo.

I don't have a screenshot maker or anything so, i have to use "print screen"

ALSO, I'm expecting this to probably get a low or average score, which is typical of many first games; Even though mine is "average", I doubt you'll find any glitches in it.... i hope. I'll probably learn code eventually but nah. Someone's gotta make use of the drag and drop things.

Something from the screenshot tells me you took Ultramario's Platforming Engine and just changed the sprites (the hearts floating above the player's head give it away).

If you are making a fangame, You must post screenshots or a demo to see you're working on it or else this topic will be closed until you have a demo or some screenshots to show.

And yes, You can post demos in here.

Hero's the demo. It's my first game. May not be the best game, but its my first game using my own engine and the ideas and elements of others. Gameplay is 10 levels which 2 of them are bosses. Until I learn how to do a dialogue box, the messages will be spoke with the orginal.

No. I used the heart sprites from that M and L style platformer. Everything here, I actually did myself. You should be able to tell if you play it. His hearts is one of the elements as I said before. The use of my engine and elements from other engines.

- Terrible sprite clashing (SMB, SMB3, YI, SPP and customs)
- Koopa Shells don't work properly and they are pointless (they can't hurt you or the enemies)
- Shy Guys float in the air
- Terrible hit detection with Para Goombas
- Music is too loud
- You get hurt after stomping on two enemies at once

K. Thanks for the help, Ultramario I'll work on those the best I can. (epescially the paragoombas)

The music : midi files. You probably would want to turn down you speaker volume. (Because on my computer, it isn't very loud. Sorry, this can't be helped.)


The koopa shells haven't been given the ability to damage yet. Crap, meant to do so. They move funny because with an enemy mask, for some reason, they float in the air. Which as you can see, this happens with the shyguys. If I don't give the shyguys the mask, then well, they won't be able to move. Right now, I'm attempting to figure out the size of these masks


That's it... whoa... I thought my game had alot more...



Also, I'm going to give upadate my submission by giving credit to the spriters and the people who created the engines I borrowed credit from.

Finally made it to some internet. I'll just add the update of this. Which corrected the problems and added the first shadow mario boss fight i.e two more levels.

Also added a Fire Mario.
