Mario vs Megaman - MG Comp entry

So yeah, finally joined a minigame competition for once(ish).

For my boss battle, I ended up just making Megaman. This is merely an engine test, so don't think this is all. My plan is to implement the following:

- A battle with Megaman, who uses 8 different costumes per boss battle (when you deplete his HP to 0, he'll switch into a random form). The first and last costume are always the same.

- 15 different costumes to battle (excluding the first and final form). Each boss battle, you'll only encounter 6, so you'll need to play multiple times in order to see new attacks. Additionally, each costume will get it's own stage.

- Give Mario the ability to use the costumes as well.

- System where you battle through all the forms, but can only fight each of them once.

Controls:
Left/Right - Move
Space - Jump
X - Slide

Defeat Megaman by jumping on him.

Please comment, criticize, and remind me of a few glitches (I seem to have issues with the slide function, so if Megaman gets stuck in a wall after a slide somehow, don't be suprised).

I like it!

I like the idea of costumes, so that way it wont get boring half way through the fight.........

Also, megaman didnt slide once.

He only slides when he's deciding whether to jump off the platform, slide off the platform, or just fall off the platform, so there's a 33% chance you'll see him slide at those times. (If you need pictures, I'll go get some later)

When he does slide, he's actually pretty damn deadly, since he moves fast, assuming you don't know what you're doing.


Random Note: Just completed one of the costume's movesets: Tornado Fan. His "main" attack will work similarly to Tenguman's Tornado Hold from Megaman 8. Additionally, the stage set up is similar, in that the left and right ends of the stages have pits in them, which is instant death. The battle will play out much differently however. Once I get about 3 costumes done, I'll go ahead and update.

The BG kinda makes me dizzy, could you pic another one, I can hardly see the characters.

Was sorta worried about that also. I'll make sure to fix that later.

Essentially, this will be a small introduction of the various forms Mega Man will take. I'm not going to spoil much for you, so go download the link and find out yourself.

Criticize, comments, point out glitches, etc.

The bubble form reminds me of majoras incarnation.

I think that mario should get some health back when you beat a form.

He gets back 6 HP each time he does, which is 20% of your max HP. This is already in the game, it just might not be a bit noticeable.

In bubble form he uses those bubbles alot. Makes it almost impossible to win.

EYE RAPE EYE RAPE THE BG IS EYR RAPE O.o

No seriously, it really hurts my eyes and I can't see a thing that's happening. Just make it plain black or something.

If you downloaded the first version, then yeah, the background is a bit of an "eyerape".

If it's the new one I put up, then please explain which ones, as I tried my best to pick backgrounds that were easy on the eyes, fit with the themes, yet made the projectiles easily seen as well.


@ Bubble form comments: kk. I'll make sure to change it a bit. Sorta didn't like how the bubbles were stuck most of the time anyways. xD
