unless there's some kind of firefox plugin to smooth scaled down images properly


oh and couldn't you at least mainain the aspect ratio it's ****ing horrible

I dunno the avatar looks fine to me. I don't even see the messed up aspect ratio. Are you guys sure you have the right monitor settings?

i've heard it has on linux but i'm not too sure on that

but not on windows. it only smooths scaled UP images which makes them look ****ing terrible

scaled down images are jaggy and horrible and also look ****ing terrible

Oh now I see it.

BTW, Cigarman. The picture isn't the problem. Any picture can be resized well with the proper program, which is what Fiddy did for you. He used a better program to resize your avatar to fit the avatar restrictions with the correct aspect ratio. What he posted is a good resized picture.

well, I think with the way the *nix Firefox works, it should scale the textures with aliasing based on the OpenGL aliasing support on your graphics card
or at least I think, since my card doesn't support aliasing and it doesn't alias on resizing
