I don't like rap or country, which, around here, is played a LOT


and it's the "quality" stuff (or so I'm lead to believe)

I don't see someone like Saberie, who likes a lot of country and rap jumping at me because I don't like it

I really dislike this type of metal.

It's not heavy enough for me. Or the riffs are boring or something idk it just doesn't perk my interest.

Oh, well then everyone is aware that you've heard the supposed "quality" stuff, not just a few bands, which I think more or less validates your opinion beyond question.

I merely asked Raie because I didn't know. I don't live with her, heck, I don't even know what genre of music she actually likes. So I inquired what bands she had heard, to which she replied... vaguely... but replied nonetheless.

I guess asking to enrich one's ignorance of another's experience = "jumping on," now!

Just because I don't remember every single metal song/band I've heard, I OBVIOUSLY have just heard one or two and can't form an opinion about it!



I'm a classical music type person.

As in, violins and pianos and clarinets, you know.

Ehh, I don't blame you, honestly. If it were any other power metal band (I guess you can qualify it as that?), I'd probably hate it -- I'm really not usually a fan of this style for the same reasons as you.

But SA kinda holds a special place in my heart -- it was one of my first "metal" bands (and also one of the first bands that got me away from SUPA KAWAII JAPANESE POP DESU), and I still like the lyrics.

Though I do listen to more Turisas, Korpiklaani, Ensiferum, Equilibrium, etc., to be honest.

Which is why I edited the post to be less aggressive! Imagine that!

Odd, I like that sort of stuff too.

In fact, it's one of the reasons I enjoy folk metal like Lumsk and Dalriada.
