Standard Member Group: Members Posts: 2714 Member No.: 4325 Joined: 27-August 07 Status: (0d)	So, I finally was able to reinstall Win7. I guess my last installation really did mess up, or something. Anyways, now I guess it's down to 20-30. Which is better than 80, I suppose.

AKA the oldest Athlon, 512 MiB RAM, and Radeon 9000

And the sidebar hardly uses up any resources, as it's going to be running anyways.

And the R9000 was a FireGL card.

you do know firegl cards are meant for workstations and purposes such as 3d modeling etc and are p much a waste of time/money for casual/game use

They're meant for OpenGL.

Not DirectX.

Iin 2001, Windows primarily used OpenGL, and Ubuntu is super speed with this card.

It adds XP mode, and adds tons other features. I'd say it's quite worth it. You can keep your files, if you want. It has an EXE installer.

Because I like to have my window titles in the taskbar! I tend to do multiple things at once in a program and need to know which to click and usually don't feel like clicking on those window previews that pop up.

Heh, people think that something isn't running in the background even when I don't have it set to show. Funny. dwm.exe (I think that's the one) is always running, whether you're using any gadgets or not. It doesn't add or remove much CPU/RAM to disable it, so I might as well use it.

The new task bar is ugly. And what's even more ugly is I can't right click a window on the bar to do anything other than close and see what other windows are on that process.
