Hello! As the title says, I am currently looking for a Yoshi's Island for Game Maker. I really need it for a fangame I want to create. And I don't mean Ultra Mario's engine (from mfgg), beuase it doesn't have the YI elements implemented into it. It's good, it's just that i'm looking for something more. I looked all over google but no luck. What I had in mind was the fluttering, eggs, running, swallowing, ground-pound, etcetera.

Any help would be appreciated! nod.gif
Thanks in advance!!!!

If it doesn't exist, then you really only have a single option. Make it yourself.

Engines are nice and all, but you shouldn't necessarily rely on them in order to create a game, as they only downgrade the creation of games to level editing.

Also, why can't you just use one of the already pre-made engines and add in the features you need? Once you experiment with GML a bit, it's actually really simple to implement some of those ideas. You just need to experiment.

On this forum, we're willing to help you fix any codes that produce errors, but if you're asking us for engines or to create you any engines, you'll probably just be directed to ones such as Hello's or UltraMario's engine at best.

You can try the Game Maker Community as well, but they're about the same, in that you either use one of the existing ones on their site, make it yourself, or hope someone makes it in the future.

Basically, if you're serious about it, make the engine yourself.

When you've decided 'I'm going to make a game', you must be prepared to do a fair ammount of work on it. When people ask for engines, it seems slightly like they're mooching off of other, harder working members. Don't get me wrong, as it's totally fine so long as you actually modify the engine.

Ultramario's engine, for example, is exactly what an engine should have. It has basic physics, enemies and collisions. You should be able to implement other features for yourself.

I do have one (Yoshiland 2).

Too bad, I'm not planning on releasing it to the public.

Never release it unless you want to see your work get re-used over and over again.
Kinda of like an engine I recall. I think it was Hello or something..
