Submissions, Answered

I noticed that when I submit something (besides reviews and games) they often appear in the next update or earlier. Reviews are there after a day or two of submission.

My main point is why games are in que for so long?

I had SMAF1 (demo) accepted after a few weeks. I shortly updated it and the update has been in que for over a month. Not too long ago (about a week) I put the completed game Super Mario Sky Pop and Tales of the Mushroom Kingdom (scrapped) up. Shortly the update for SMAF1 was declined and TotMK. I understood why they declined TotMK (it is playable) but I didn't get why it took so long to check the update. I'm also wondering if they had the time to decline the two why is Super Mario Sky Pop still in que?

the staff aren't gods
neither are they AIs

they're humans. you're not the only guy submitting things, they have to go through hundreds of submissions reviewing each one. this is a tiresome job and time-consuming job. just wait.

There are tons of submissions in the queue; it takes awhile for them to all be accepted.

The main thing was the time it took for the things to happen. I thought games were added at about every update and reviews everday or two, but i'm pretty sure the first post clarifies things.

Note: If they declined TotMK that means they played it.

they are relatively quick now

I had a sprite sheet in the queue for 5 months in 07

Also, updates are just lists of submissions since the last update, to showcase the recent submissions.

Don't the Site staff also have to play the game to ensure there's no vulgar content, is playable, etc. etc.?

Knowing that and reading all the comments helps me understand what goes on better. Question answered.
