The Wii version of Okami was horrible. Yes, the Celestial Brush was great. Every single other aspect of the game was completely destroyed.

Yes, but the Celestial Brush didn't make the game. It would have screwed everything up if they had pushed that gimmick too far -- so they didn't.

And on PS2, this was perfect.

On Wii, it was repulsive.

If this game pushes the drawing too far, it'll be ruined and kinda fall into more of a trial-and-error game as opposed to having actual puzzles or gameplay in it.

If it doesn't ... it had better learn from Wii Okami for its own sake.
