I got some game ideas, and I want your opinions

(don't chew me out if this doesn't belong here, just tell me)

I have two ideas for a game, but I want to know what you think about them before I start making them.

1) super mario 1 remade with new super mario sprites, but with simutanious 2 player mode, and new stuff

2) a zelda type mario game using all the minish cap styled sprites on the main site.


what do you think?

both sound great, except that the smb1 remake sounds cliché, well, except if you add some groundbreaking features

for the remake, I want to make each world have a theme, right now I'm thinking of putting all of world 2 in the sewers

Both sound good, but make sure they're special.

Remakes are risky business, so if you go with that you might want to make sure you do it right. The Zelda idea doesn't sound bad

You mean new themes and not the typical grassland - desert - beach etc. etc. set up?


But yeah, given a choice, I'd go for the zelda one.

exactily why I asked. another idea, after each world, there will be a mini summary like in super mario world, and yoshi's story.

and who hates the idea of mario using a sword?

anyone willing to help sprite in minish cap style?

I mean like actual themes, not one level under water, and the next a dark world, next grass land. but the sewer one would be original

Go for idea #1, if you are able to.
Multiplayer would be awesome, not split screen, but with both Mario and Luigi on the same screen.

I kinda started on the zelda game a bit, but I'm having troubles with tiles, I found them on tsr, but the person ripped the whole area and I just want the tiles.

I'll start on the remake later, it seems easier, and the only problems I can think of are bowser and lakutu (however you spell it)
