Hey there, MFGG. This is a little project I started last night called "Baby Mario Bros". It's your typical Mario platformer, but with the baby versions of all your favorite characters! The demo only has 1-level. Tell me what you think!

Ahhh, a peaceful day in the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi are about to have snack time before taking their daily nap, but when they go get their cookies, they're missing, with a note in their place! "Gwa ha ha ha! Ull nevr get yur cukies, mareeo! This is whaat hapens when you miss with da Kupa Princ!" Oh no! Bowser's taken all the cookies! It's up to the Baby Mario Bros to get them all back before nap time!


Controls
Arrow Key: Move
Shift/Z/Space: Jump
Enter: Pause
F1: View Credits
F4: Full Screen

Gameplay seems pretty straight forward, but maybe implement a few unique elements? Like, perhaps add Yoshi and make him hidden in certain stages? Do you plan on adding some of the other babies?

Yes, but remember: this is only the first level. Later levels will have power ups, more enemies, a few secrets here and there, baby versions of characters like Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, ect. and baby bosses.(Bosses from other Mario games, but baby-fied) Also, Baby Luigi will be playable, and will have his differences in gameplay.

The only complaints here are that some of the graphics don't look too good, specifically the tileset, it's very outdated. The HUD text is also a bit of an eyesore, and the lifebar could use a bit of touching up. Everything else is pretty good. Touch up a little and this could be a pretty good game.

Power-Ups that will hopefully find their way into the game: Fire Flower, Star Shooter(Like Fire Flower, but more powerful), Growth and Mini Mushrooms(Grow and Shrink character size).

Coolness =D I have an idea for the Gorw Shroom: Instead of growing in size, how about it causes the babies to briefly 'grow up'. They'd be in their adult forms for a small amount, allowing them to utilize their adult abilities (A.I, Mario would shoot fireballs, Peach could hover, Luigi could Super Jump, etc.)

I'm already putting a fire flower in the game, and I'm programming Luigi to make him jump higher normally. And Mario and Luigi are the only playable characters. The others like Baby Peach make appearances as NPCs.

I found a bug:

If you die the first time, the whole music plays a little quicklier until you close the game.

Well, All i can say is that you weren't the first to think on something like that. smile.gif
But at least you had the time to take it out of the blueprints and make at least a demo.
I remember I did a different plot, but all the characthers would be baby, nonethless. But your game looks pretty good, anyway.

EDIT: Star Shooter is now implemented in the game. However, it's not in the demo, since I think it's pretty redundant to update with just that one small update. Here are some screens of the Star Shooter in action.
