I said in an earlier post, you need to run your Text editor as Administrator.

Yeah, I forgot to add the www version of the website and the fact that I actually managed to jot down the wrong IP in one of the steps didn't help.

Anyway, it is only dodgy if the server changes IP.

A few people seem to think that editing the hosts file is a "hacky" or "dodgy" fix for this. The whole POINT of the hosts file was so you can add IPs of Websites in case your DNS isn't working with that website or that Website loses its Domain Name. It's not "hacky" or "dodgy" at all!
