I just finished writing it, and I'm pretty content with my argument, but there's just one problem... It's 8 pages long. Doing that, but I think I may also try to revise things to be a little more concise, too.

But, ugh, that takes effort...! I hate proof-reading my own papers, especially when they're this long and on boring topics like slavery in antebellum America.

I did change the margins to MLA format's 1" margins which brought it down to 7 pages.

And making the font size 11 brought it down to six.

I'm pretty sure the professor will be able to tell I'm desperate to truncate the length of my paper, though; this isn't like high school where teachers are oblivious to the methods students use to lengthen/shorten their papers.
