Remember, he's 10 years old. Stuff like that would undermine his popularity and place him at the bottom of the barrel for years. He's a popular kid, good at sports and academics. Cute stuff like that would kill him.

Italy has a modified WWII uniform. Yeah, the spiffy kind. The stuff that instantly paints you as a fighter in one of the manliest wars I can think of. Italy's useless, but the anime is kinda obscure, and those kids in his class aren't exactly well-versed in History, so no one will know. He's also Owen's favorite, so that's good. However mum is convinced that someone will hack our compy, get her credit card number, and sap all our money, so he can't get the costume without sowing it himself.

Solid Snake is just badass. And not exactly 5th Grader safe.

So, y'know, I don't want him to look half his age.

Now I'd like mum to say that I don't care for him as much as I should right now.
