wii homebrew help, have 2 answers and 1 question

Alright kiddies, we learned a lot from this topic:
Q:Where do put homebrew emulators and roms on an sd card?
A: 1-put the emulator folder in the APPS folder
2-create a folder on the roots of the card named (emulator name)
3-create a folder inside the emulator folder named ROM
4-put the rom in the ROM folder

Q:My wii freezes sometimes whenever I load an app, now what?
A:we don't have an answer, do you?

I used bannerbomb and installed homebrew, I have a nes rom (I have the game), and I'm downloading a emulator right now...but then what?

so like what are the directiories in my sd card that the files go into?
and do I need to keep the card in my wii when I play it?

Did you download FCEUX?
If yes:
1-put the FCEUGX folder in the APPS folder
2-creat a folder on the roots of the card named FCEUX
3-creat a folder inside the FCEUX folder named ROM
4-put the rom in the ROM folder
5-play the game!

I did that last night when it finished downloading
now I'm sure I did it right
but it freezes on me sometimes.
is there a different way to reset it without pulling the plug when it freezes?

der de der... what do you think I tried first?
well it freezes whenever I load an emulator, then the screen turns black, then it freezes.
but only like 2/3 times I try

Also are you sure that you have the latest version?

are you using a wad or somethign or the hbc

Check bannerbombs site he supplies different version (but techniquly the same) he says try a different one if it freezes.

I think he means if it freezes all the time. This is only sometimes.
@ Char: please explain wad, but I am using the homebrew channel
@ captain flame guy: I know you have to hold the power button(edit: I feel dumb now, I have to hold power twice as long as I thought I would have), and I beleive I have the latest version.

I think it's something with my sd card. I'll try to take away the files you need to install homebrew and see if that helps
(edit: ^didn't do anything^)

edit: I'm developing a theory that if I have the wiimote pointed a the screen when it would freeze, it will. I'll test it when I can

how did you install fce ultra? I recommend installing stuff through the Homebrew Browser if you can: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/Homebrew_Browser

I never "installed" the apps, it just apears if I have my sd card in the wii
and I think it requires wi-fi...which I don't have

I have a feeling it's trying to run the updater and failing because you have no wifi

I have 2 emulators, and both freeze.
but IT WORKS but not always...grrr...

and I think I have connect24 on...
maybe that is a problem...

disable connect24 for one since you don't even have wifi o_o

also are they both *GX emulators?

uh funny thing...they won't let you have wiiconnect24 on if you don't have wifi :^|
