I have a Linkysys WRT54GC router and when I type in 192.168.1.1 it tells me "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" or it takes me to google. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Try different variations, just in case.

192.168.0.1
192.168.2.1
192.168.1.0
192.168.1.2

etc

EDIT: Also be sure the computer you're trying to log into the router with is hard wired into it, as in a direct connection with an ethernet cable.
