January 16, 2006. The first Cartoon Network broadcast of Snow Day. The first time the Nickelodeon logo was ever seen on Cartoon Network unblurred. It was the kid-vid equivalent of Black Saturday and the first step of a very long, hard fall. While one can argue the broadcast of Batman and The Goonies in October were the beginning of the end, that date was the first sign that the powers that be really wanted to be like Nickelodeon.
