In Jump Hat Challenge, you must switch between bros to hit ?-block to score. Hit the 15 mark, a surprise will happen...and at 25, a even bigger one.

Well not exactly. It's not exactly a remake because your objective is different.

Just played it. Honestly, I don't like it. It lacks physics, and it's like a wacked up version of pong where you don't want to get the ball in either goal

And this isn't like the original, so it won't even be legit.

I haven't tried the actual minigame, but from what I read, yours doesn't seem to be an enhanced version. I'm hoping you'll expand upon it later.

Some issues:

- When Mario is being controlled, it's really awkward, as you'll constantly zig-zag with him. If you can, add some friction/acceleration, so it looks smoother.

- Mario only has to touch the block to consider it a point. Should probably fix this, and make it so Mario can only hit the bottom of the block.

- For the most part, the challenge only gets difficult when you hit 25, considering how you have ample time to set yourself up, and the block moves a bit slow.


So yeah, try to make movement smoother, make it harder to hit the block by only allows points if you touch the bottom only, and fix the idea so it's closer to the original.

Well, you use the jump helmet, control luigi, and try to hit stuff so its not TOTALLY different. also my highscore is 34. Anyone reach 25 and experienced the Final surprise?

EDIT: And it was hard to tell of it was too easy cause my playtester thought it was hard.

See, but the objectives are completely different. You have to also aim for distance, and have gravity, for starters.

You need to stick to the GOALS AND GAMEPLAY of the original. The original didn't control Mario, it had gravity, you had to collect timers, and you were aiming for distance.

This one you're just bouncing a zero gravity Mario between Luigi and a moving block.

They're hardly similar. You're overboard.

see, when I suggested this idea to Yoshbert, my whole thought was adding things to make them more fun, with a higher replay value.

You seem to be taking away elements from the original game.

black Boo: The goal in the original was, technically, keep mario up. This time, you get to control mario, and have to hit a target, just like you have to collect timers. The rules say to add some stuff that is NEW, (which I did) and I replaced some elements.

I'm coming to the point where I don't want to even bother and just let Yoshbert disqualify you. The goal of the original was to go AS FAR AS YOU CAN, WHILE keeping Mario up. This one is as I said, a wacked up version of pong.

It should be more recognizable as the same minigame. The whole idea was to have the same minigame but add extra modes, sprites, challenges, unlockables, etc.
