Japan-only DS game... would it work? *SOLVED*

Well, don't ask why I have an obsession over Haruhi Suzimiya right now (cause you'll either think it's cute or dumb), but I'm thinking about getting a DS game of it from Japan. However, they're 60 bucks on eBay. So I ask... since it's Japan-only would it work on my DS-i?

It's okay, you're just another Haruhist. We'll get used to it. And it's technically Shonen anyways, so who cares. :S

I thought DSi's had a region block. So you'll either have to get a DS, or an emulator.

I actually have a DS, but the top screen never shows and its kinda busted up... I wonder if an R4 DS-i would suffice?

The DSi only has region lock for DSiware and internet related things. For regular DS games, the DSi is still region free.

Ok, good, I was only going to get an R4 DS-i if I had no options, I don't want one because I've heard many stories of them crashing and losing all of the games you have saved onto its data. Plus I like collecting game boxes and stuff.

if you're getting a flash cart, don't get an "R4i" (R4i is just a clone with the name R4 on it to sound more popular)


But yeah, DS games are region free.

Okay, cool. I guess this could be locked if you want.
