StoryBowser has gained control of the magical gravity wand, an extremely powerful device that can alter the flow of gravity and he plans to use it to rule the world. It's up to you, Mario to collect all of the crystal stars and stop Bowser once again. Game playThe game is sort of a mix between Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy. You play as Mario and you can use his double and triple jump abilities as well as change the flow of gravity to get to new areas and collect crystal stars. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 64 belong in the same family, more or less. SMG just has an influence on manipulating gravity.
Anyways, personally, I didn't find it too amazing. The gravity only comes in four directions, so for the most part, it's a normal Mario platformer with an added gravity feature, which when you think about it, was actually done by Nintendo in a few of their platformers (in SMW, there were slanted blocks in the corner of a room which if you ran over, would let you run along the wall. Later, in Super Paper Mario, a similar feature the to the one in this game was also implemented.)
So while the idea itself is fairly original, it doesn't really make the game that much better.
Issues: - Mario seems to have too much time in between different jumps. Usually, I end up finding myself switching between a 2nd jump and a 3rd jump. - Some of the stars are sorta eehh.. that Koopa Road star, while sorta innovative, really pissed me off. - Try to make names of the stages more varied. Because when you figure out what "Tricky Examples" is, then you'll know exactly what "Tricky Spikes" is. - Physics were fairly basic. No acceleration, friction, etc. - Some graphics (enemy sprites) seemed to clash.
So yeah, the game is okay, but the four-direction gravity isn't totally amazing.

The timing between the double and triple jumps are the same if that helps you. 2. That star is meant to be difficult and a little annoying. 3. The "tricky" part in some stage names is meant to be a major part in helping you finding certain stars, because normally you wouldn't think that walking on spikes wouldn't kill you.  4. Since this game is inspired by Super Mario fan galaxy by kjellm87 I tried to make the gravity,acceleration,physics etc. the exact same way he did. Since I don't think its a fatal issue, I'll leave it like it is. 5. Which enemy sprites in particular?

1. I can adjust to it, but it's just unnatural to be able to hold a stronger jump for like 5 seconds.
3. Try different names? Because having to see about 5 different "Tricky" star would get redundant.
4. kjellm's version has more of an emphasis on making it more like a 2d SMG. Yours, as you said, is based on kjellm's version, but it seems like yours has less features.
I haven't tried much of kjellm's game, but so far, I've noticed:
- Three different methods of changing gravity. - Acceleration, which isn't subtle, but doesn't totally interfere with gameplay - Stages with themes.
In your game, you only have single method of changing gravity (arrows), no walking/running acceleration, and so far, three stages (two of which are just green blocks, and the other with mushroom platforms in the sky?).
You're trying to make a game based off a game, which is based off a game, but in there, you've managed to limit the quality of your game a bit.
