Lapras

This is Lapras, i.e. "The Loch Ness monster... I think?," i.e. the first painting project Mrs. A actually gave a flip about.

Lighting does no justice to the piece, so please excuse the sort of yellow-ish wash.





Materials: cardboard, SuperGel (foundation), NovaPlex (glaze), acrylics, Sharpie pen, pencil.

Sorry for the recent influx of topics, by the way; I'll try to tone it down -- I've just been drawing a lot of stuff I actually like lately.

Wow D: that ocean is made up of a lot of paint. Unless you mixed it with some other material.

It looks neat.


Edit: or it might be painted cardboard... I can't really tell.

It's painted SuperGel (i.e. a sort of sticky clear-drying foundation made from acrylic base that takes forever to dry and can "boost" the dimension of your painting). The Lapras is cut out cardboard though applied with SuperGel (yeah, it works as glue, too).

Waiting for the stupid stuff to dry took over a week though, ugh!
