I don't know about Yoshi's flutter jump, but the rest he listed I believe is done by shaking indeed... thing is, from what I heard, it doesn't really need to be much of a skake. I held the remote in my hand just now and tried to figure how it'd feel, giving real quick light shakes... it'd take getting used to but it shouldn't be too hard, though it'd be nice if they had, say, the B button do those functions as a backup(but left in the tilting platforms and the like)

well I'm a REALLY oldschool button masher so any game that REQUIRES wii shaking I'm already adverse to.

I ate some serious crow on Mario Galaxy though so hopefully I'm wrong here too.

No srsly, I'm not surprised, I mean who gets hyped because of "OMG NEW WORLD NSMBW WILL KICK ASS!!!", because you can just take two or three levels from World 9 and add them to World 1 till 8.

And if you take the levels from world 8 and distribute them among the other worlds, you end up with only seven worlds.
If you continue this, you'll see that NSMBWii is in fact only one single world with the levels split up into 9 worlds so it looks like more, and the fools buy it because of the amount of worlds.

But you apparently found out the truth, thanks.

All previous platformers have been blown out of the water. NSMBWii is the first ever Casual/Hardcore Platformer that does not include a difficulty setting. The first ever Hardcore game that even casuals can enjoy, or depending on how you look at it, the first casual game that even hardcore gamers can enjoy!

What I said in this post is based on the platformers that I do know about.

Agreed.

EDIT:

ALSO:

FINAL BOSS IDEA!

Bowser JR is huge due to a Mega Mushroom in this battle. bowser junoir can use fireballs and shoot out sprays of spells with his own scepter, but heres the twist:

HE SUMMONS THE ICE FLOWER AND THE PROPPELLER SHROOM TO USE ON HIMSELF.

Ice flower: shoots out bouncy ice balls and freezes the ground for a while. If you get frozen, he will follow up with a magic attack on you.

proppeller: he throws a large ball of energy in the air, and starts to twirl around. WWhen the ball lands on him, it sends a spray of magic EVERYWHERE.

To hurt: when he summons a item, he drops it in front of him, waits a second, and grabs the power. you have to grab the power BEFORE then. When you do enough damage when youre powered up, he'll shoot a undodgable magic blast that will erase the powers effects.

Use a item on him 9 times to win.

4 people getting a mega mushroom at the same time on one screen, you do the math.

Anyways, Mariowiki listed out the worlds, and I know "You can't trust them!", but from what I've seen in OW videos and what not, it seems what they have is probably right.

* World 1 - Plains
* World 2 - Desert
* World 3 - Ice
* World 4 - Seaside
* World 5 - Forest
* World 6 - Mountains
* World 7 - Clouds
* World 8 - Volcano
* World 9 - Bowser's Castle

Seems about right considering one trailer did show all but world 9 in a world select screen (a few being obscured).

I really hope World 9 is a secret/unlockable world, and not Bowser's Castle, as I seem to recall someone saying that "you don't unlock Mushroom Houses with Star Coins, but there's something even more spectacular in store", or something along those lines.

I really can't see it being used for Bowser's Castle, as there's never been a mainstream Mario game with nine worlds. In SMB:TLL, it was a hidden extra, in SMB3, it was a Warp Zone, and arguably, it was the Special Zone in SMW. I hope Nintendo doesn't ruin that tradition.

On a side note, the ability to get in a bubble at any time is pretty sweet, and would save me the trouble of having to help my younger brother along, or keep him out of the way.
