Basically, all I wanted is to mix Gauntlet with Geometry Wars. The gameplay is top-down, you shoot stuff, you solve puzzles, you collect stuff.

Pretty nice game!

It may just be me for using a touchpad to aim, but 3 lives is a bit hard to go on.

Yeah, I'm on a laptop myself. Tested it with both mouse and touchpad, and using the mouse is alot easier.

Just played it, it looks really good, but there's a few things I dislike:

* It seems a bit slow to me, I think you might want to raise either the FPS or everyone's speed.

* The camera movement's not too good, I think it'd be better if you were always in the center of the screen.

*It shouldn't fade between rooms, no games with inbuilt cursors should, as it freezes it until it's finished fading.

Also if you had a healthbar, that'd be cool.

- You'll have a shield powerup, which will give you 2 additional hitpoints. It's just not implemented yet.

Hey Outrage I love the game and I hate it when people critique things not even related to the game in its topic, but that file hosting site is AWFUL. I had to wait a minute for it to load, a minute for my download to be valid, then the stupid speed limit it puts on free uploaded files somehow made a 4mb download take ANOTHER minute.

So just saying, try a site like www.willhostforfood.com or www.host-a.net

And keep working on this game, inspired concept and great graphical style.

I'd say it's really good. I love the polish you have, and the graphical design, while a bit overused, is still pretty nice.

Though, I think the blue spinner guys could probably use a bit less health. Also, there were a lot of times where I lost the mouse, because the white bars kinda blend in with the backgrounds a bit too much. Maybe have the white bars smaller, and use a reticule that will attract more attention (animated, a VERY different color, etc.)
