One of My Cats has Cancer...

Mum just called me and told me the older of our two cats apparently has cancer. We don't know how bad it is or if the tumour is removable, but it's no longer malign and grew quite a bit in a short amount of time. She's going to the doctor tomorrow and he's going to put her under anesthesia and try to remove it...

There's no guarantee whether or not he can successfully remove it or not, and we don't even know if she'll be able to make it through the operation because she's an old cat and last time she had an operation like this, she flat-lined for a few seconds and almost died.

I'm really sad, guys, I knew she was getting old, but I don't feel ready for her to die yet...

Probably better that they try to take it out and the cat dies now, than it die in pain later on down the road because the cancer is hurting it. :/

Two of Saberie's cats died this year of cancer

she was real broken about it

I'd say try to take it out; she'll be under if she does go, so better to go like that instead of be in pain

My old dog died of cancer, that really sucked...

Luckily I never had any real pets so I never had to go through this kind of stuff


But when my friend told me his dog was dieing and that it had blood flowing into it's stomach and was in a lot of pain, I almost cried it was so sad :[

I'm so sorry to hear that.

I know what it's like. I had to put my 5 year old dog down last year becasue of cancer. For months she was really sick and throwing up all the time and We brought her to this idiot doctor that kept saying it would go away and gave her medication for a misdiagnosed disease. Then we had to put her down on my birthday when we finally figured out what was wrong with her. She just got whisked away when I was at away partying. Then when I got back I got I was told that I'll never see her again.


I'm sad now too.. :(
