What if, Nintendo went out of business?

Sony would probably buy Nintendo out if that ever happened and we'd still have Nintendo.

We'd just be faced with Nintendo and Sony Characters together more often.

Jeez, Nintendo DS combined with PSP. Crazy **** right there.

If nintendo hypothetically went out of business, Sony would deserve to buy them out

I mean, come on, look at them. They're making very good games, and the way they make games the way their fans want to, nintendo would fit in perfectly.

And also, since Miyamoto would probably still be behind the wheel, Nintendo-Sony could dominate the whole industry. They probably be able to make their old franchises (I wouldn't mind a Smash Bros with Sony characters)

Nothing will happen.

Nintendo was a company started by Japanese cowboys

Anyway, as long as some company bought it and shiggy and friends would continue to make awesome games, I don't think it'd be that bad.
If they did stop making games however, I'd quit console gaming.

If Nintendo ever went out of business, the other companies will either:

A) Try to dominate the gaming industry due to less competition.

or

B) Take over Nintendo and make games using their franchises (imagine if Sega does this, then maybe we would see Mario and Sonic together more often!).

to me, they've sold out. they used to be able to balance "being a company" with "making quality games," but no more. I don't give a **** about how much money they're making, and, unless you're a nintendo stockholder, neither should you. the consumer should only concern himself with what a company is doing, not how well it's doing fiscally.

yep! you see, my taste in video games clearly generalizes across the population of everyone that actually matters. clearly!
seriously though, they haven't been making anything good lately. in fact, I'd go as far as to say that they've lost their touch.

I would not mind, seeing how it's one less console for games to go "exclusive" for.
