It's been a few months since my laptop got back from repairs at BestBuy; now suddenly when I open the lid and resume going on, I see red vertical line on the right side of my screen.

I move the lid a bit to a certain position, and the line goes away. But when I have to take my laptop with to the library, class, or a lab, it's right there again when I turn on my laptop.

Is it the computer that's screwing the display, or do I got dead pixels on my monitor?

One would think that dead pixels appear the same regardless of how the monitor is positioned. Therefore, it might be something in the computer. Verify that you have the most up-to-date drivers.

sounds like the connection between the laptop and the screen is loose or something
