Just trying to practice colouring monochrome photographs, used Paint.NET.
C+C needed since it's obviously my first time ever.

I would say clean it up more. The little girl looks like she is glowing a bit, which gives it a cool affect, but I'm guessing you want it a bit more realistic. Touch up the face too, I can see purple on her chin and left cheek.

Other than that it looks pretty awesome. I like it, how did you do it?

Edit:Be a bit more neater, it looks like you just sprayed purple where ever you thought the shirt was, if you look closer, it's actually mostly all hair and it looks really wacky now.

Basically it's just gaussian blur, hence why it looks glow-y.

Thanks for the criticism, guys, I'll practice more in the future.

That's really neat-o. I think the hair looks fine to me. The picture looks like it's a painting almost after you colored it.

Looks pretty realistic to me.

I have access to Paint.NET, and I suspect my grandmother would think it would be really, really neat if I could colorize some of her old photos.
