Saw a trailer for this whilst reading an IGN review.

It seems pretty interesting, although I'm usually quite skeptical about animated films seen as they all seem to reuse the same jokes and generic characters, which I do see signs of in this trailer.

It's also produced by Tim Burton, who wrote the nightmare before christmas, which is a fantastic film, so this could turn out similar, idk.

I also found it funny how the voice actor for Quincy sharp in B:AA is also doing voice acting for this, and he's even doing the exact same voice.

anyway discuss.

Reviewed this like a month ago.

It was too short. One hour and twenty minutes simply isn't long enough for the type of plot and characters the movie was developing. Otherwise, it wasn't bad.

I saw it. I should feel lucky that my theatre in Podunk, Nowehere was kind enough to actually carry it. Well, technically they carried Eureka Seven: Pocketful of Rainbows, but I was a dummy and forgot to go see it. It was on a Thursday, sue me.

9 was a pretty good movie. Very beautiful, cool subject matter, pretty lame execution of plot. There was a lot that it was missing. I think the universe of the film was very well set up and thought out, but as far as what actually happened the movie... well... it left a lot to be desired.

I think the characters had a lot of potential to be developed, but they kind of remained cookie-cutter roles.... which makes sense according to the plot of the film. I cannot elaborate due to spoilers. =P

Great conversation everyone! =)

But if you're seriously interested, 9 was a short film before a movie. You could hunt for it on the YouTubes...
