Mario Fan Game Idea, Could be some fun

Hello,

I just post about a consept I imagine when I went to bed last night and that could make a fun fangame: it would be called Super Mario Ethnic.. or whatever.
Anyway the conept would be Mario travelling around the continents, and as powerups he'd have different hats, that would give him the physical type of the each continent. Then we would have Caucasian Mario, Black Mario, Asian Mario, Indian Mario etc... And each type would have a parodic special move: Black Mario could jump very high, Asian would throw eggrolls etc..

Please that nobody starts any argument about racism, this would be just a fun idea based on the prejudices people have.

Innovative but odd. Personally I disagree but it might be good too.

The idea is neat, but dangerous.
Be sure to include American Mario who is a fat guy who wears a western hat and his special move is eating hamburgers to avoid bias.

Awful in my opinion. Racial Jokes are the second lowest form of humor (right above MadTV), if you want to make something funny, be original, please.

And also, I don't care what you say, it would be racist.

Yeah I kinda knew you people would react like this. Anyway, I didn"t want to make the project, it was just an idea. But before Guinea has the kindness to lock the topic (I just know this will eventually degenerate into an argument) I just wanted to say that I see no offence in that kind of project, talking about diferences and individual cultures is a proof (if it's done wall of course) of an open mind. Creating aa game that involves a Black Mario says nothing bad about Black people, but in the contrary it highlights that all of this "races" can be incarnated into the same character that we all here like: Mario.

So Guinea, please lock this!

I think it's a pretty good idea. If everyone still *****es about it being racist, just change the ethnic to suits (ex Instead of Black mario, Bunny Mario)

There are ways of making a game portraying ethnicity without offending people

If you make it like that, the game would kick ass. Get the idea?

Even if you don't intend that in a racist manner, many people would perceive it that way and take offense. I myself feel very uncomfortable with this idea.

See my problem isn't even that it is offensive, one of my favorite freeware games is about a little girl who murders her entire family with a knife and goes on killing people in the mental asylum she is stuck in. I have no problem with overly offensive content, I just don't think racial humor is very funny, it's the easy way out for someone who can't think of a good joke. And making it a Mario game just makes it even less original.

Yeah, I guess. I mean, I'm not saying im comfortable with this idea, I'm just saying that from my point of view its not that offensive. When I said I thought it was good, I meant that and idea of it could probably work (excluding the offense factor)

Also, I'm pretty sure that this is Mario Fan Games Gallery(lol) so the factor of using mario being unoriginal is void.
