So, will the comics in their current form eventually die? You decide.

Think of all the games that will be spewed out now.

Yes, in case you were sleeping under a rock.

I've been following the not-so-new-now TMNT cartoon somewhat and I was never aware of a comic.

They are made by the Archie Comics.

They are made by the Archie Comics.

Which are almost non-existent in the Midwest of the US.
I can't say I've seen any Archie comics (other than Archie and Sabrina) comics for atleast 6 years around here.

The Mirage comics started it all, not the 80's toon. Silly you, adaptation displacement.

Yeah, anyone who has no idea why the 2003 cartoon seemed so serious compared to the old one should research the comics. They're pretty dark.

And as far as I know, Archie doesn't make the TMNT comic. Mirage has been publishing them on and off. Archie made a series based on the cartoon for awhile, but I don't think there was much else.

Fast-Forward notwithstanding, the 2003 show seemed alright anyway. They even seemed to get away with more than 4Kids would usually allow, like death, violence, and the constant use of "shell" in place of "hell".

Also, we still have THIS epicness to look forward too:
